National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) is an organisation which conducts tests for people who have the ability to translate and/or interpret a foreign language in English. If an applicant clears the NAATI test, they may be able to work professionally as translators. In addition to that, the successful applicants can claim 5 points towards their General Skilled Migration criteria. People who wants to claim 5 points can also appear for the recently updated Credential Community Language Test (CCL). By clearing this exam, an applicant can claim the 5 points for migration purposes but in order to become a certified Translator, they have to pass the NAATI test.
